Bug out with our ongoing community science project - the Bugs in Urban Rivers Project! Join environmental scientist Steph Mueller to dig into the creepy-crawlies that play a vital role in our aquatic environment. Steph Mueller is a dedicated environmental scientist with a passion for studying and preserving urban freshwater ecosystems. They have been leading the Bugs in Urban Rivers Project with Urban Rivers since 2020, investigating the macroinvertebrates living in the Wild Mile and other sections of the river to assess ecosystem conditions. Steph’s hands-on workshop will feature the research they’ve been conducting in the Chicago River, and explore how YOU can become a community science contributor!
