Information

  • Wild Mile: 905 W Eastman St. Street, Behind the REI. Bus parking available nearby provided the driver is present. We’ll meet you at the end of the Eastman street cul-de-sac!

River Park: Closest to RiverLab @ 3000 W Argyle Street, (by the track). Bus parking available nearby provided the driver is present.

Bubbly Creek: Canal Origins Park (unless otherwise specified), 2701 S Ashland Ave. Bus parking almost always available nearby.

  • Our field trips generally last no more than 2 hours due to limited staff bandwidth, and average 60-90 minutes. For a tour with no activities, we’ll usually take about 45 minutes.

  • Due to space constraints we unfortunately cannot accommodate groups of more than 60 children at once.  We are happy to schedule multiple field trips for larger groups.

  • Our field trips are entirely outdoors and subject to changing weather conditions. We are able to reschedule if inclement weather occurs.

At the Wild Mile, we have an indoor classroom space that can host classes for indoor workshops in case of rain, but only for groups of 30 or fewer due to space constraints. If we move indoors, specific activities will differ!

  • If you have any concerns, don't hesitate to reach out. Email team@urbanriv.org to get in touch with us!
